Audience research
For part of the audience research we had to create as survey with questions to ask our audience to try figure out more about their likes, dislikes and interests so that we could use the information to help us make our websites.

We used a website called SurveyMonkey to produce our surveys. We asked questions like 'How old are you?' and 'Have you studied media in some way? to try figure out the type of people who are responding to the survey. We also asked questions like 'Which of these do you like the most on websites?' and 'Are you confident in your ability to use the different parts of an interactive media features of a website?' to try to get more information on what to prioritise when making the website and what people like when they go on a website, we can also make sure to include less complicated things if people who reply say that they aren't confident with the different parts of an interactive media features of a website.
Focus groups are used when people would like to learn more about the people who are buying their product so they can figure out how to best market it to them or how to increase the number of people they are reaching with their product. They can also be used to find out what most people like or dislike about a specific product so they can improve on the likes and fix the dislikes.
We have done a focus group task where we got put into groups of four and had to ask each other 3 questions to do with what films we are making our websites on. The other people in my group were Harry who is doing it on Avengers Endgame, Dan B who is doing it on Avengers Infinity War and Dan F who is doing it on a Five Nights at Freddie's movie that will come out in 2020. The first question I asked were "Have you seen Detective Pikachu and if not why not and if you did, did you enjoy it?" My answers were Dan B: Didn't know it was out, Harry: Didn't have time to watch it and Dan F: Going to watch it on dvd. My second question was "What did you think when you first heard about the film?" Dan B: Sounds good, Harry: Sounds cool and Dan F: Didn't think it would go well. My final question was "What do you think the budget for the film was and how much do you think it made?" Dan B: Cost $150million and earned $600 million. Harry: Cost $100 million and earned $700 Million. Dan F: Cost $250 million and earned $500 million. After doing this task I have learned more about what kind of questions to ask focus groups and what ones get better answers than others.
